Established in 1987, Fleet Support Group is a thriving company that offers management services to company car fleets and their drivers. Currently based in modern, attractive offices on the outskirts of town, Fleet Support Group is one of Chippenham's largest employers.

Job objective: to explore, maximise and sell all revenue opportunities in a consistent, professional and effective manner, generating new business for FSG meeting agreed revenue and performance targets for 2007 / 2008
Key Tasks:
- Meet / exceed sales targets
- Generate leads and develop business opportunities
- Contact prospects via telephone, email or letter
- Research and report writing on all prospects
- Make appointments and travel to present to prospective clients using working time effectively
- Develop and create sales strategies to maximise revenue from our target markets
- Develop strong and long term business relationships
- Clearly communicate at all levels, working with other departments to identify revenue opportunities
- Professionally present FSG services and products, acting at all times as an ambassador for the company
- Collate and assimilate information gathered with a high attention to detail
- Produce comprehensive proposals and deliver to prospect in a timely manner
- Complete all relevant paperwork to expected high standards
- Close, secure and consolidate business
- Demonstrate effective account management, with appropriate reviews and liaison
Job Description
- Taking incoming calls from drivers who wish to organise services, maintenance or repairs to their vehicle
- Receiving calls from drivers who have broken down
- Organising and booking services
- Listening to and collating information
- Dealing with customers in a variety of situations
- Ensuring that recovery vehicles are organised promptly
- Organising courtesy cars
- Taking effective and comprehensive notes
- Briefing garages
- Keeping drivers informed of progress /any problems which may have arisen
Motivation and Experience
- Past experience of working in a busy, pressured environment
- Enjoys working to time frames and prefers to be busy
- Able to see a problem through from start to finish
- Genuine desire to meet/exceed customer/client expectations
- Technical appreciation
- Past experience in motor industry/legislation would be a distinct advantage
Communication Skills and Customer Care
- A confident and positive attitude and approach to dealing with customers/clients
- Able to adapt communication style to accommodate the above appropriately
- Ability to deal with a variety of situations with diplomacy
- Excellent questioning and listening skills with an ability to gather and assimilate accurate information.
- Consistent and professional telephone manner, when dealing with internal and external calls
- Able to instantly build /maintain rapport with a range of people
- Experience of dealing with a variety customer service situations
- Experience of dealing with “difficult” customer service situations

- Ability to multi task with consistency and accuracy
- Can prioritise and re-plan in a methodical manner
- Committed to finding a solution and can plan how to get there
- Able to take accurate notes
